Okay, maybe the title was clickbait. Or not. Well, you decide.
The fact is that, well, in an activity that aimed to integrate the team more (I have a short memory, so I don’t know if I mentioned that in addition to my own business, I also work as a Talent Coordinator at Uber), at a certain point we were divided into rooms and the activity basically consisted of sharing with the group some piece of advice you had been given. I used to work in the Industry, with a very tough environment where everything was based on money decisions. I was struggling to have my priorities contemplated and completed because I was too dependent of others. My manager at that time gave me the “tough love” speech, telling me sometimes I will need to step up and be hard. The company demands us to do it. I just need to make sure I am being respectful and considerate people feelings. And last, but not least, be always looking back to make sure I am bringing people up with me.

I am deeply grateful for the privilege of being surrounded by such amazing people. If we really are “the average of the 6 people we live with the most”, maybe you, the reader, understand a bit more about who I am from the people I live with. They make me a better human being.
