Hey, I have a piece of advice for you (#4)

Okay, maybe the title was clickbait. Or not. Well, you decide.

The fact is that, well, in an activity that aimed to integrate the team more (I have a short memory, so I don’t know if I mentioned that in addition to my own business, I also work as a Talent Coordinator at Uber), at a certain point we were divided into rooms and the activity basically consisted of sharing with the group some piece of advice you had been given. The result was pretty cool. Here are a few:

Please, never take things personal, they never are that serious.

Janeth Benavides

Never compare yourself to others. Everyone has a different background, history and timing. You’ll get there, on your terms, on the right time time, your time.

Pamela Chusyd

Never assume!

Maria Ballesteros

That’s the way it is and it’s ok.

Myriam Abascal

Never assume, always look for the answers. Never take anything personal, people always reflect their personalities.

Sandra Halpern

CHOOSE/PICK your battles. 😉

Raul Navarro

“Never outgrow your sense of wonder”. (Given to me by my dad) 💕

Maria Englebrecht

Never interrupt someone who is doing something you told them could not be done.

Jorge G. Hernandez

Never take things personally.

Camila Nakashima

Don’t be so hard to yourself! Celebrate every battle and every little achievement you get.

Luisa Fernanda Villanueva Ferrer

I used to work in the Industry, with a very tough environment where everything was based on money decisions. I was struggling to have my priorities contemplated and completed because I was too dependent of others. My manager at that time gave me the “tough love” speech, telling me sometimes I will need to step up and be hard. The company demands us to do it. I just need to make sure I am being respectful and considerate people feelings. And last, but not least, be always looking back to make sure I am bringing people up with me.

Lucas Seixas

I am deeply grateful for the privilege of being surrounded by such amazing people. If we really are “the average of the 6 people we live with the most”, maybe you, the reader, understand a bit more about who I am from the people I live with. They make me a better human being.
